Four races in three days: it's a mini tour de force awaiting Gallina Lucchini Ecotek Colosio, ready to distribute energy and ambitions between Tuscany and Veneto. These two regions will provide the backdrop for the finish lines on which the Brescia-based team led by Cesare Turchetti will concentrate its objectives: to race as protagonists, or at least to collect useful results in an already important phase of the season.
The first trip will be to Ponte Egola (PI) for the traditional "Pasqualando," a classic appointment for sprinters scheduled for Saturday, April 4th. Start at 12:40 and 101 kilometers to tackle on a course that, as tradition dictates, will favor the fastest wheels. Gallina Lucchini Ecotek Colosio will line up with Loda, Cornali, Gerbut, Veneri, Militello, Franzosi and Crescioli, the same group that on Monday the 6th will also face the Trofeo Visentini in Nogarole Rocca, in the Verona area. This race too is designed for sprinters: 100 kilometers total and start set for 3:00 PM, for a double commitment that will test freshness and ability to maintain a strong pace.
The Easter menu also includes two appointments of international caliber: the Trofeo Piva and the Giro del Belvedere, scheduled respectively for Easter Sunday and Easter Monday in the heart of the Treviso region. At Col San Martino, the 77th edition of the Piva will take place, with start at 12:30 and 179 kilometers of racing on a selective course that traditionally highlights climbers and finishers. The following day, in Villa di Villa, a hamlet of Cordignano, the 87th Giro del Belvedere will start at 1:15 PM, a 168-kilometer race that represents one of the mandatory passages for young talents in the international cycling scene.
Defending the colors of Gallina Lucchini Ecotek Colosio in these two prestigious classics will be Mercatali, Faustinelli, Ganini, Carnicella and Bonometti, called upon to compete against a field of the highest level.
