In cycling, every moment makes a difference. Just a few seconds can separate glory from a placement, which is why precision and reliability in measurement are fundamental. Festina will mark the time on the climbs of the Euregio Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino from 2026. The historic watch brand, founded in Switzerland in 1902 and now Spanish-owned, is the new Official Timekeeper of the Tour of the Alps.
The sponsorship agreement concluded by Infront, strategic partner of the Tour of the Alps for marketing, commercial, and TV production rights, connects the stage race scheduled from April 20 to 24 with a brand long associated with cycling. Having been the title sponsor of a professional team in the '90s, Festina has also previously served as Official Timekeeper for some of the most important international cycling events, such as the Tour de France, Tour of Switzerland, and Tour de Romandie.
Among the top 100 luxury companies in the world, Festina is a reference brand in the watchmaking industry, with over 5 million watches sold annually. The company now has a network of branches in more than 90 countries worldwide, from Europe to South America. An international structure that bases its development on innovation and quality, guaranteeing precision and reliability to its products. Values that find one of their main expressions in sports.
"The Tour of the Alps represents the ideal context to express the values that have always guided Festina: precision, reliability, and passion - declares Lucia Carbonato, Head of Marketing for Festina Italy - Sport, together with cinema, is one of the areas where our brand has always found its maximum expression: worlds where time is not just a technical measurement, but a narrative element, full of emotion and meaning. Being the Official Timekeeper of such an authentic and prestigious event as Tour of the Alps means for us accompanying every moment that counts, supporting excellence, performance, and the value of shared experience."
"We are pleased to welcome Festina among the partners of the Tour of the Alps - states the General Manager, Maurizio Evangelista. In a stage race like ours, where often details and a few seconds make the difference, being able to count on a partner of international caliber represents a fundamental added value. Festina's history in cycling speaks for itself: it's a brand that deeply knows this sport, and their journey alongside top-tier events testifies to competence and vision, qualities that perfectly integrate with the identity of the Tour of the Alps. This partnership further strengthens the international positioning of our event and confirms its attractiveness."
