In the all-Dutch battle for the world title, Lucinda Brand emerged victorious. The thirty-six-year-old from Rotterdam is the new cyclocross world champion in the women's elite category. She succeeds her compatriot Fem Van Empel, who dominated the last three editions from 2023 to 2025. For Brand, already world champion in Ostend in 2021, this is her second world title, won on the Hulst circuit in front of her compatriots Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado and Puck Pieterse, thus completing an entirely orange podium. Fourth was Hungarian Vas, fifth was French Fouquenet. A day to forget for Italian Sara Casasola, who was immediately left behind and out of contention from the first lap and subsequently forced to withdraw.
