While his teammates pedal in the heat of Spanish land, Nairo Quintana is dealing with the cold and snow of Chicago. His absence from the Movistar Team presentation for the upcoming season certainly did not go unnoticed, and the Colombian rider himself explained the reasons: "I am in Chicago because I am taking a course of study at Northern Illinois University with the goal of becoming a business manager. Here in the United States, I can analyze some of the world's largest companies, but cycling remains in my thoughts: in a few days I will arrive in Spain to get to work together with all my teammates and prepare myself with them to achieve the goals we have set for 2026".
Quintana is 35 years old and his contract with Movistar will expire at the end of 2026: a decision on a possible retirement from competitive activity has not yet been announced, but in the meantime Nairo... is building his future.
