The INEOS Grenadiers officially brings the number of riders under contract for the next season to 27, announcing at once the extension of five of its elements: Michal Kwiatkowski, Brandon Rivera, Ben Swift, Kim Heiduk, and Lucas Hamilton.
More dedicated to the dirty work than to finalization (none of them have reported victories in the last twelve months), they will all continue to perform their precious work under the various team captains of the British squad. Specifically, the team has renewed the contract of the Polish veteran for three additional seasons, the Australian's for two years, and for the 2026 season only the agreements with the German, Colombian, and two-time British national road champion.
"Staying here seems like a natural step," Kwiatkowski declared through the team's official channels. "I love the atmosphere, the people, and the way we work. I'm not here to stay in my comfort zone, but rather because this is where I push myself every day. I feel joy when things go well and I feel supported when they don't. Cycling is like this: one day you're on top of the world, the next day you're struggling to overcome a difficult moment. So far it has been an incredible journey, but it's not over yet. This team has been my home for many years, and I still feel the same hunger and motivation every time I put on a number. What keeps me here are the people, the trust, and the shared ambition to continue competing at the highest levels."
Kwiatkowski, by signing a three-year renewal, will reach 13 seasons in Sky-INEOS colors in 2028, five fewer than what the super veteran Ben Swift will achieve next year.
"I still love racing, the camaraderie, and the shared goal," said the thirty-eight-year-old from Rotherham. "It's a privilege to help guide the younger riders and play my part in the next chapter of INEOS. Our team is truly on the rise, and I can't wait to contribute to this progression by returning to race in 2026."
Lucas Hamilton, the only Australian in the INEOS ranks next year, will also contribute to this ascending trajectory.
"I'm really happy to renew with the team. After a year, I genuinely feel at home because there are fantastic people and an equally amazing environment. I believe in the direction our team is taking and I'm excited to be part of this journey," said the 2019 Coppi e Bartali winner, ready to play a fundamental role in multi-stage races, similar to another climbing specialist like Brandon Rivera.
"Every season with this team is like a new opportunity to grow and give my best. I'm proud to be part of this family and support my teammates in achieving our big goals," said the twenty-nine-year-old South American, who arrived at INEOS in 2020, two years before Heiduk, a man who has made a good impression and will have new chances to shine in the classics.
"I feel at home here, this is truly like a family to me. I've learned so much since joining INEOS, and having the team's trust for the next step of my career means a lot. I'm motivated to continue helping our leaders and show my progress in the most prestigious races," revealed the class of 2000 from Herrenberg, who, like his four teammates, will be guided by the new technical director Geraint Thomas in 2026.
"Kwiato has contributed to the team's greatest victories both personally and in support of his teammates, so keeping him in the group and being able to count on his experience is extremely advantageous," commented the Welshman, summing up the confirmations of the five.
"Kim and Brandon have made great progress since joining the team. They are truly reliable: no matter what race they participate in, they are there, they are good, and they manage to give their best. Lucas, who arrived just last year, is a fantastic person to have around, with that typical Australian spirit we've always had to some extent in our roster over the years. He rode an excellent Giro d'Italia, impressed in a series of other stage races, and will be able to provide an excellent contribution in the coming seasons. Finally, there's Swift, the veteran who last season demonstrated exactly why experience matters. He did a bit of everything, in many races, and each time he was simply solid as a rock. Ben knows how to show the way to the younger riders who are emerging and will play an important role in helping them understand what it means to ride a bicycle."
