He has been many things, primarily a good rider and an excellent sports director, and also a great team manager. Today, the Fair Play Award 2025, organized by the Panathlon Club Bergamo "Mario Mangiarotti", went to Claudio Corti, among others - world champion of amateurs in San Cristobal in 1977, twice Italian champion among professionals, and also a technician who guided the cream of cyclists, like Gianni Bugno, with whom he won a Giro d'Italia and two World Championships, along with many other achievements. Later, team manager of formations like Barloworld and Columbia, true talent incubators (Chris Froome, Geraint Thomas, Bradley Wiggins, to name a few).
At the Viterbi Space (Bergamo Province), the Panathlon Club Bergamo celebrated the Fair Play Awards 2025, recognitions dedicated to those who exemplarily embody sports values: ethics, loyalty, respect, and responsibility towards the community.
