Cofidis will have the twenty-two-year-old Italian climber Edoardo Zamperini for the next two seasons. Italian Under 23 Champion in 2024, Zamperini has ridden this season with the Devo team of Arkea B&B Hotels, also competing in several races with the professional team.
After announcing the arrival of French hope Camille Charret, the northern team is thus focusing on another young talent: Edoardo Zamperini.
Edoardo describes himself as an attacking climber with a preference for "hilly races, tough races, medium mountain stages". Zamperini is the latest recruit for Cofidis in this transfer window, the 30th rider completing the team.
Edoardo Zamperini comments: "I am excited to become part of Cofidis. It is one of the most well-known teams in the world. Having ridden for a French team, I know how they work, their way of doing things and their ability to support young riders' development. I like hilly races, tough races, even medium mountain stages... I want to support my teammates to continue improving next season and hope to try my luck and aim for victories in 2027."
Raphaël Jeune, general manager of the team, adds: "I am very proud to be able to count on Edoardo Zamperini's talent next year. He demonstrates, particularly through his Italian Under 23 Champion title, that he is one of the great promises of the new generation of Italian riders. We can't wait to support him, help him progress and discover the highest level. Edoardo's arrival, like that of Camille Charret, shows our desire to trust young generations and build long-term to make Cofidis shine."
