THE ROUTE
The Giro dell'Emilia Granarolo (108th edition), 199 kilometers and 2650 meters of elevation gain, begins with long flat stretches, ideal terrain for high speeds and first breakaway attempts. Then the race changes face: the climb of San Lorenzo in Collina and Mongardino warm up the legs and prepare for the first true watershed, the long ascent towards Monzuno, with its nine kilometers between regular slopes and harder sections. Following, the short but intense climb of Monte Calvo, the last effort before entering the Bologna circuit.
And there everything will be decided: five ascents of San Luca, just over 3 terrible kilometers, with peaks at 18%. Five passages, five tests of strength that will bring out the champion destined to raise his arms in front of the Sanctuary. Expected finish between 3 and 3:30 PM.
