
It is now official: Juan Ayuso joins Lidl-Trek by signing a five-year contract with the US team.Ayuso, who is 23 years old, made his debut in 2022, standing on the final podium of the Vuelta a España in his first Grand Tour. The following year, he delivered another excellent performance, finishing fourth in the general classification and winning the White Jersey as the best young rider.
A talented time trialist and climber, Ayuso has already established himself as one of the most promising stage race riders in the peloton. His palmares includes overall victories at Izulia Basque Country and Tirreno-Adriatico, two stage wins at the Vuelta a España, a stage win at the Giro d'Italia, and four time trial triumphs.His arrival strengthens Lidl-Trek's ambitions in stage races and represents a crucial step towards the Team's long-term goal of becoming the best WorldTour squad.
