2026 is just around the corner and the new MBH Bank Ballan CSB Colpack project continues to take shape, officially announcing two important developments: Cesare Chesini's move to the professional ranks, who continues in the MBH Bank Ballan CSB Colpack project, and Pavel Novak's transfer to the Movistar team.
CHESINI: Veronese Chesini, born on March 11, 2004, in Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella and fresh winner of the Tour of Romania, has so far lived a season as a protagonist, enhanced by three victories.
"It has always been a dream to reach this moment," Chesini explains, "which in recent years had become a real goal. I want to thank the teams I've ridden with: Ausonia Pescantina, where I took my first steps and had fun; Zalf Euromobil, which guided me in growing in 'real' cycling; and finally MBH Bank Ballan CSB Colpack, which this year gave me confidence and welcomed me with great professionalism. A special thanks goes to my family, who has always supported me."
Regarding the step up in category, he adds: "I believe I've followed a gradual path, starting from Juniors and growing year after year. This year important results have also arrived: for me, this is the right moment for this transition."
NOVAK: Pavel Novak will also make the big leap, heading directly to the World Tour with Team Movistar. "I'm closing three fantastic years with MBH Bank Ballan CSB Colpack, where I grew as an athlete and as a person," Novak explains. "Together we worked hard, reached important milestones, and I'm proud to have worn this jersey, with which I particularly remember the podium at Giro Next Gen, the success at Prato Nevolo, and the victory at Bassano-Montegrappa. I'm leaving a group that for me is like a family. Now a new chapter begins: I'll be in an iconic team, with over 40 years of history, and I'm motivated and honored by this opportunity."
TEAM MANAGER: Antonio Bevilacqua bids farewell to the two riders: "For Chesini, this is the natural continuation of a relationship that began this year. He immediately showed his value despite some health issues at the start of the season. We're taking this step together; it will be a stimulating challenge."
On Novak: "We had found an understanding to continue the journey together, but when the World Tour call came, we chose to facilitate his transition, releasing him from contractual commitments. He was an important rider for us, and there will always be a place for him here if he ever wants to return."
