"In presenting this important edition of the Gp Sportivi di Poggiana, I first want to thank the many friends who support us with great passion and generosity," began Giampietro Bonin, President of Uc Asolo Bike Poggiana. "Every year it becomes increasingly difficult to organize events like this, but our passion is stronger than the difficulties, and with the help of a group of volunteers and the support of sponsors and institutions, we are ready to offer a great day of sport in Poggiana and throughout the territory".
Applauding the organizational commitment of the Uc Asolo Bike Poggiana staff were also institutional representatives, starting with Veneto Region Councilor Alberto Villanova, Vice-Mayor of Riese Pio X, Francesco Quarto, Mayor of Loria, Alberto Battistella, joined by Italian Cycling Federation representatives including National Councilor Sandro Checchin, Veneto Regional Committee President Mario Guerretta and Treviso Provincial Committee Vice-President Gianluca Negro.
A heartfelt remembrance was dedicated during the presentation to a great friend of the Gp Sportivi di Poggiana, Gaetano Gazzoli; the entire audience then applauded the memory of Simone Roganti, last year's protagonist on the roads of Poggiana with race number 84, which will not be assigned for the 2025 edition, and Samuele Privitera, tragically passed away following a fall at the Giro della Valle d'Aosta and who was supposed to be at the start of the challenge on August 10th.
