The thirteenth stage of the Giro d'Italia 108 will start from Rovigo and arrive in Vicenza. Also this year, for the 23rd consecutive year, Banca Mediolanum is the official sponsor of the Mountain Grand Prix, reconfirming its connection with the Blue Jersey and one of the most beloved sporting events in Italy.
A new edition of "A Ride in the Giro" is also confirmed for 2025, the amateur cycling initiative dedicated to clients and cycling enthusiasts, organized by Banca Mediolanum along the Giro d'Italia stages. A unique opportunity to experience the Giro atmosphere firsthand, anticipating the race and cycling alongside the great champions who have made Italian cycling history. Participants will cycle in memory of Ennio Doris and celebrate the founder of Banca Mediolanum's deep connection with his native land and lifelong passion for cycling. The Doris Family will be present at the event.
The appointment is Friday, May 23rd in Lonigo, at the Family Banker Office (FBO) on Via San Giovanni, at 9:00 AM. The cycling departure is set for 10:30 AM, with arrival expected in Vicenza, on the line where professionals will sprint shortly after, at the end of a 58 km hilly route. The initiative was organized by Claudio Licheri, West Triveneto Regional Manager of Banca Mediolanum.
"STORIES ON TWO WHEELS: A CHAMPION'S WORDS"
"Talking about Ennio Doris is not just remembering a great man, but also a friend who knew how to leave a profound mark on my life," says Gianni Motta, a legend of Italian cycling and historic testimonial of Banca Mediolanum. "With him, I shared roads, passions, and a worldview that always put people at the center. He had contagious enthusiasm and a rare ability: truly listening, motivating, making you believe that every climb could be conquered."
"Our friendship was born through cycling, but became something much greater. Ennio loved this sport because it resembled him: made of effort, respect, and determination. Just like him, convinced that cycling taught not to surrender, to look ahead even when the road gets tough, to remain humble even when winning. And he brought those values to his Bank, his projects, in every relationship he built."
"Being in Vicenza today, in his land, is an emotion difficult to explain. Cycling in his name - Motta adds - is not just a tribute, it's a way of saying thank you. For me, every stage with him was special. And this one, more than all, speaks of heart, memory, and gratitude."
From these emotions comes "Stories on Two Wheels: A Champion's Words", the new space curated by Banca Mediolanum. In each stage, one of our testimonials will share a memory, an anecdote, a personal connection with the places crossed by the Giro. A collective narrative made of roads, effort, and beauty, where every pedal stroke speaks of passion, memory, and pride.
"FRAGILE, BUT POWERFUL". THE MEDIOLANUM FOUNDATION PROJECT FOR THE FUTURE OF CHILDREN WITH NEUROLOGICAL DISABILITIES
In 2025, Mediolanum Foundation renews its commitment to childhood by supporting "Fragile, but Powerful", the new fundraising campaign of the year. The project aims to provide 1,064 children with complex neurological conditions and their families with a personalized rehabilitation and support path, in collaboration with three excellent organizations: Fondazione Don Gnocchi, Fondazione Fight The Stroke, and Fondazione TOG.
"Fragile, but Powerful" targets minors living with cognitive, motor, and communication difficulties, caused by genetic, congenital lesions, or perinatal traumas. The campaign will offer them access to innovative rehabilitation treatments, integrated with traditional techniques, with the goal of bringing out and enhancing their untapped potential. The project also includes a dedicated psychological support path for parents, to help them in the delicate task of raising and supporting a child with complex disabilities. This year too, Mediolanum Foundation will double the first 60,000 euros raised, multiplying the impact of each donation.
The Giro d'Italia will be a special opportunity to raise awareness across the entire national territory, bringing the project's message directly to people and promoting a culture of care and inclusion.
