
Victory for Japanese rider Rui Udagawa (Aisan Racing Team) in the third stage of the Tour of Japan, finishing in the city of Mino after 137 kilometers. The sprint winner preceded his breakaway companions Cahyadi, Knolle, Kazama, and Bettels, who had escaped together in the final part of the stage. Andrea D'Amato finished ninth. The overall classification still sees Alessandro Fancellu in command with a 16" lead over Danish rider Bregnhoj, 33" ahead of Oka, and 35" and 39" over his teammates Garibbo and D'Amato.
