The BePink-Imatra-Bongioanni roster expands with the arrival of Elisabeth Ebras, a 20-year-old athlete from Estonia. Born in Tallinn on July 22, 2004, she is a cyclist with a quick burst and an aptitude for tight sprints, comfortable on medium-difficulty routes. In 2024, she achieved numerous significant results, including victory at the Tartu Rattaralli (national race) and second place at the Poreč Trophy Ladies (1.2 UCI); at the Elite National Championships, she won silver in both the road race and time trial.
"Unfortunately, the start of the season didn't go as I wanted, and I am very happy to have the opportunity to join BePink-Imatra-Bongioanni," Ebras commented. "I hope to get the most out of this experience and live it to the fullest. My goal is to try to achieve good results and grow as a rider."
"We are happy to welcome Elisabeth to the team," added Team Manager Walter Zini. "She is a very young girl who has already shown good things in past years, and we believe she can be an added value for our team."
UPCOMING COMMITMENTS - In a few days, Ebras will debut with the Lombard team's jersey, continuing the Northern tour started with Gent-Wevelgem and Dwars Door Vlaanderen. Today, the selection composed of Linda Laporta, Silvia Milesi, Gaia Segato, Nora Jenčušová, Meike Uiterwijk Winkel, and Vittoria Grassi will be at the start of the Volta NXT Classic (1.2 UCI), a Dutch race of 118.4 km with start and finish in Eijsden.
Tomorrow, the team will face one of the most iconic challenges in the calendar: the Ronde van Vlaanderen (1.WWT). The "pink" Monument Classic will start and conclude in Oudenaarde after 168.8 km. The route (with seven cobblestone sectors and twelve altitude challenges) includes the most representative walls of this race: Koppenberg, Oude Kwaremont, and Paterberg.
Tackling the mythical Tour of Flanders will be Andrea Casagranda, Elisa Valtulini, Beatrice Caudera, Meike Uiterwijk Winkel, Gaia Segato, and Linda Laporta.
On Sunday, April 6th, BePink-Imatra-Bongioanni will also race in Italy and in the Cuneo area with Irene Cagnazzo, Linda Ferrari, and Maho Kakita, who will be competing in the Trofeo Cassa di Risparmio di Fossano, an Open circuit challenge of 88.9 km in total.
