With immense satisfaction and profound enthusiasm, the Fanini household celebrates the recent official appointment of the new technical staff of the Cycling National Team, decided by the President of the Italian Cycling Federation, Cordiano Dagnoni.

The news was welcomed with a true celebration at the Fanini - Amore e Vita Museum in Lucca, in the presence of patron Ivano Fanini, Stefano Bendinelli, museum director, Cristian Fanini, Provincial F.C.I. Presidents of Lucca and Pisa, Castellani and Piccinini, and other cycling enthusiasts.

The appointment of Marco Villa as Road Technical Commissioner represents the culmination of a successful journey, a true apotheosis for the cycling movement linked to Fanini. "Marco is a true number one and his story intertwines with ours," Ivano Fanini proudly declares. "His charisma, even if sometimes discreet, has an extraordinary strength, capable of unleashing incredible energy among athletes, pushing them to overcome their limits. After his grandiose track triumphs, with his impeccable guidance, we are certain he will replicate success on the road."

But the satisfaction doesn't stop there. Another piece of news welcomed with great enthusiasm is the promotion of Ivan Quaranta, former Fanini athlete and already speed sector manager, to new Technical Commissioner for track speed. "I also feel immense pride for Ivan," Fanini continues. "I remember when, at the peak of his career, he managed to beat a champion like Cipollini at the Giro d'Italia, even wearing the pink jersey. And I can't forget when he came to me during a difficult moment in his career to relaunch himself. We experienced together the pain of losing Valentino Fois and the joy of returning to victory at the Settimana Lombarda and the Italian track championship, when no one believed in him anymore. Ivan was an incredible talent, one of the strongest sprinters I've ever had. Now, as Technical Commissioner, he'll give 110% and will be able to do great things, including winning a world championship in speed and Keirin, perhaps with the young rising star of speed Bianchi (recent European gold in the kilometer), titles that have been missing for a very long time, to the point that the last ones to achieve them were us at Amore e Vita with Claudio Golinelli."

Fanini has no doubts about the future of Italian cycling: "Marco Villa could become the new Alfredo Martini and revive the road sector with great expertise and passion. Even though resources are no longer as abundant as in the past, we can count on extraordinary champions like Filippo Ganna and Jonathan Milan, pillars on which to build a winning group. And let's not forget riders like Ciccone or young promises like Tiberi (trained by our Michele Bartoli) and Baroncini (launched by my former rider Bevilacqua), potential protagonist of great classics, and, above all, a crystalline talent like Finn, who in the next five years could even challenge a champion like Pogacar."

There's a special bond between Fanini and these athletes: "Ganna was followed from a very young age, until professionalism, by technicians who wore the Fanini - Amore e Vita jersey for years, like Barale (who discovered him), Della Vedova (who launched him), Bevilacqua (who brought him to professionalism) and Villa himself with whom he won everything on the track. Milan, instead, is the son of Flavio, who raced as a professional with Amore e Vita when he wasn't even born yet. These details make this satisfaction even greater."

Fanini also expresses great appreciation for the renewal of Cordiano Dagnoni's mandate as F.C.I. president: "A man I deeply respect in every aspect. I remember him racing on the track and fighting with our three-time world champion Golinelli. Dagnoni, just as Villa could be the new Martini, I'm certain he could be the new Adriano Rodoni. I wish them to reach these milestones with all my heart, because they are the right people to bring Italian cycling back to the top."

A special praise goes to all appointments decided by the Federal Council: "These are right and perfect choices, worth 110 and praise," Fanini emphasizes. "Amadio, for example, is one of the best team managers around, with an extraordinary experience that he will know how to transfer to the national team to improve it in every aspect. He too, like President Dagnoni, was awarded in Lucca with the 'Golden Sphinx' Loyalty to Sport Prize by Valter Nieri, a recognition reserved only for great sports personalities and being an honorary member myself, the happiness is double. And then, last but not least, how can we not mention the new vice president and friend, Saverio Metti from Prato and Laura Puccetti, national councilor from Lucca."

The Amore e Vita patron concludes with a message of full support: "Italian cycling is now in excellent hands. Now we just have to let them work, with maximum trust and respect.
