With the World Championships and European Championships behind them and the final races of the season on the horizon, several teams have announced roster changes for the upcoming seasons.
One of the protagonists in recent cycling transfer market movements is 28-year-old New Zealand cyclist Mikayla Harvey who, after racing for two seasons with SD Worx – Protime, will wear the Liv AlUla Jayco jersey starting next January. Runner-up in both the road race and time trial at the national championships held at the beginning of the season, the Kiwi climber has signed a two-year agreement with the Australian team.
Who, after five years with the team and three victories to her name, will leave Liv AlUla Jayco at the end of 2026 is Georgia Baker. The Australian, who finished fourth with her national team in the mixed relay world championship event, has chosen to begin a new professional experience at Canyon Sram, which has offered her a two-year contract. Joining the German squad, Georgia will have Steffi Häberlin as a teammate, who beat her at the Tour de Gatineau. The winner of the Swiss national road race championship is another athlete leaving SD Worx – Protime.
A change of teams is also on the horizon for Floortje Mackaij who, after four years at Movistar, has decided to return to racing with a Dutch team: VolkerWessels. At thirty-one years old, the Dutch athlete will be one of the experienced riders on the Professional team that has shown confidence in her with a two-year contract. Heading to Spain instead is Lauretta Hanson, currently injured following a crash at the World Championships, who will end her professional relationship with Lidl Trek to begin a new chapter at Movistar, which has signed her to a three-year agreement.
2027 will be the WorldTour debut season for Silje Weitze Antvorskov. Tenth-placed finisher in the U23 continental time trial, the young Danish cyclist will join Uno-X Mobility, becoming a teammate of Italians Vigilia, Tomasi, and Pellegrini. Leaving the Norwegian squad instead is Anouska Koster: the 33-year-old Dutch rider, whom we should see racing at Veneto Women, will join Cofidis starting in January. The French team has also announced the signing of 18-year-old Zoé Bihan.
Staying in France, that's where Sofia Arici will head at the end of the season: the 23-year-old from Bergamo, winner of the Trofeo Prealpi in Rosa and also a standout performer at the Giro del Mediterraneo, will leave Vini Fantini Bepink for a new adventure at Ma Petite Entreprise. The Professional team managed by Vincent Lavenu has also announced the signing of Léa Rondel, the younger sister of Mathys from Tudor.
