Team Jayco AlUla has completed its lineup for the 2026 season by signing Belgian Dries De Pooter and Australian Rudy Porter. De Pooter has signed a contract with the team: the 23-year-old has over three years of WorldTour experience, with two Grand Tours under his belt, namely the Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a España. Raised in Axel Merckx's Hagens Berman Jayco development squad, the gutsy Belgian is the ideal rider for one-day races in his home country.
Porter returns to the team after a season away. The 24-year-old turned professional with the squad in 2023, after impressing on the national scene and as an Under 23 in Europe, finishing in the top five in the general classification at the Santos Festival of Cycling and Alpes Isère Tour in 2022. During his time with Team Jayco AlUla, Porter developed as a rider and showed promising results, but an injury hindered his growth.
Dries De Pooter: "I'm really excited to join this team. I grew up watching them dominate team time trials back then, and now being part of this team with such an important history makes me incredibly happy. I can't wait to be part of the classics squad next year and try to win together, because that's what drives us all to start riding bikes."
Rudy Porter: "I'm truly thrilled to return to GreenEDGE. Coming back after the long injury I had to face in 2024 is particularly meaningful. I've worked incredibly hard to return to peak form, and that period taught me a lot. It will be fantastic to reunite with familiar faces, meet new ones, and work together for a successful year as a team."
Gene Bates (Team Jayco AlUla Sporting Director): "We are pleased to welcome Rudy and Dries to the team for the next season. One of our goals for 2026 was to rebuild our Classics group, and Dries is someone who fits the profile we're looking for. He's still young with great potential, and alongside some of the more experienced Classics riders, we believe he can grow and learn a lot from them. He's already been competing at the highest level for several years and has participated in two Grand Tours, which is a great advantage for a young rider. For Rudy, this will be his second time with GreenEDGE Cycling. It's fantastic to see him return after a season away from the WorldTour. He's a rider of great talent, but an injury prevented him from fully exploring his strengths. He's had a season to recover and restart, and we hope that with this opportunity, Rudy can show what he's capable of."
