It's time for changes for Letizia Borghesi. After four seasons defending the colors of EF Education, the rider from Trentino, second in the Paris-Roubaix 2025 behind Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, is ready for a new adventure with the AG Insurance - Soudal Team. The Belgian team has announced that they have signed the 1998-born cyclist to a two-year contract.
"We are very pleased to welcome Letizia to our team. She brings experience and great determination, and also has an engaging personality," said sports director Jolien D'hoore. "I am convinced that she will fit perfectly into our squad and will be important for the classics. Our goal is to improve in the pavé classics, and together with Letizia, we will aim for good results in key races like Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Ronde van Vlaanderen, and Paris-Roubaix".
Letizia, who has also won a stage in the Women's Giro d'Italia in 2019, commented on the agreement with AG Insurance - Soudal Team: "From the first meetings with the team's management, I had good feelings. I can't wait to race with the new team. I am ready to take this important step in my career; I love the Classics, and being part of a Belgian team is something special. It's impressive how the team has grown in recent years, and I'm convinced we will do great things together".
The older of the Borghesi sisters, who this season also finished sixth in the Ronde van Vlaanderen ahead of her future teammate Kim Le Court, added: "My biggest goal for the future is to win a Monument, but also to support my teammates to the best of my abilities".
