The month of August drawing to a close brings us several cycling market movements. Fdj Suez has been particularly active in recent hours, officially signing British Lauren Dickson and German Franziska Koch: both athletes have signed an agreement that will bind them to the French team for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
Dickson, born in 2000, is currently with Continental Handsling Alba Development but before moving to road cycling, she practiced trail running and triathlon. In recent months, she has distinguished herself by narrowly missing victory at the Pointe du Raz Ladies Classic, beaten only by Spanish rider Blasi, and in the first stage of Tour of Norway where she finished behind Justine Ghekiere and ahead of Sarah Gigante; at the end of the Norwegian stage race, Lauren finished third overall.
"I am very excited and honored to join Fdj Suez for the next two seasons. I greatly admire the team's racing style, team spirit, and professionalism. It's the right place to continue learning and growing while giving my best to help our team leaders," said the 25-year-old athlete.
Koch, also 25, after spending seven seasons with Sunweb, DSM, and Picnic PostNL (various names but the same team, ed.), has decided to accept a new challenge and join the team of General Manager Stephen Delcourt. "I have raced my entire professional career with one team and I think now is the perfect time to change. I am convinced that with Fdj Suez's professional approach, I can take a step towards something new," explained the current German champion.
Two arrivals but also one certain departure. At the end of the season, Loes Adegeest will leave FDJ Suez, with whom she has so far obtained two victories in three seasons, to join Lidl Trek: the American team has announced reaching a two-year agreement with the 29-year-old Dutch rider.
A former speed ice skater, Loes explained her choice to change: "I was looking for a new challenge to get out of my comfort zone that Fdj Suez had become. It was easy to choose Lidl Trek; from the first meeting with the management, it seemed like the perfect solution for what I was seeking. I'm enthusiastic."
Luca Guercilena, Lidl Trek's General Manager, praised Adegeest for her racing approach: "Loes has shown she is not afraid to race aggressively and seize opportunities. She is a versatile athlete, manages herself well in tough classics, and is strong in time trials. She is excited to join our team, and we will support her in this new challenge."
In 2026, Nadia Gontova will also change jerseys, the 25-year-old Canadian who finished second in the second stage and overall classification of the Tour Féminin International des Pyrénées: currently riding for Winspace Orange Seal, she has a two-year contract with Liv AlUla Jayco. "I can't wait to race a WorldTour calendar, in such a strong team that will help me progress as a rider. In recent seasons, I've made significant progress, and this year I came to Europe. This is a season of novelties for me; I've been able to participate in some of the most important races, learned so much, and achieved results I'm proud of. My goal is to continue improving, seize opportunities when they arise, and help the team achieve important results," explained the North American, who has a tenth place in the last stage of Tour de France in her palmares.
Finally, we note the jersey change for Petra Stiasny in 2026. Currently under contract with Roland Le Dévoluy, the 23-year-old Swiss has signed a two-year contract with Human Powered Health. Speaking about her upcoming arrival, Ro De Jonckere, manager of the US team, said: "Petra is a young and talented climber with great growth potential. We are proud to welcome her to our team."
