
Piedmontese Pietro Mattio was close to the podium in the first stage of the Alpes Isère Tour, a 2.2 class competition that started today in France. The young rider from Team Visma Lease a Bike Development finished the 135 kilometers in fourth place. The race, held with start and finish in Charvieu-Chavagnieux, saw the success of American Viggo Moore (Israel Premier Tech Academy) ahead of Swiss Valentin Darbellay (Elite Fondations Cycling Team) with Belgian Viktor Soenens (Soudal Quick-Step Devo Team) completing the podium. Tomorrow, the second stage will take the group to Satolas-et-Bonce.
