Public voting for the UCI Fans' Choice Awards 2026 opens today, November 4th. Until December 1st, fans will be able to choose the winners of five awards, which will be presented on December 9th, 2026 in Benidorm (Spain) during the UCI Cycling Gala, which will be held annually.

Announced in July, the UCI Cycling Gala will honour the best riders, teams and nations in the UCI women's and men's world rankings for the 2026 road season. Alongside these ranking-based awards, the UCI Fans' Choice Awards will allow the broader public to reward riders for the performances that have made the greatest impression this year, in five categories:

- Feat of the Year: the most remarkable individual performance in a single race;
- UCI Sprinter of the Year: the sprinter who delivered the most exceptional performances of the season in their specialty;
- UCI Climber of the Year: the climber who delivered the most exceptional performances of the season in their specialty;
- UCI Youth Performance of the Year: the young cyclist who delivered the most exceptional performances of the season in UCI WorldTour or UCI Women's WorldTour races;
- UCI Domestique Performance of the Year: the rider who put their talent at the service of their team in the most extraordinary way.

For each award, the UCI has drawn up a list of ten riders, five women and five men, each with the performances that secured their nomination. Fans will vote for one athlete for each award, either a woman or a man, chosen only from this shortlist. No other names can be proposed. Each award will go to a single winner, decided exclusively by public vote and revealed live on stage during a ceremony held as part of the UCI Cycling Gala.

UCI President David Lappartient stated: "Riders write the history of every season, but it is among the fans, at the roadside and in front of their screens, that it truly resonates. It was natural to give them a voice. The rankings tell us who was the strongest; the UCI Fans' Choice Awards will tell us which moments meant the most to the public."

How to vote

Voting is open from 12:00 on November 4th, 2026 to 23:59 on December 1st, 2026 (Central European Time) at www.ucicyclinggala.com. To participate, simply register, choose one athlete for each of the five awards and confirm your participation. Only ballots with five choices will be counted.

Complete voting rules and terms of participation are available on the voting website. Hosted at the Centro Cultural de Benidorm, the ceremony will be broadcast live on television (in Europe) and on the UCI YouTube channel.
