After announcing the signing of Axel Mariault and bidding farewell to Sergio Meris, Clement Venturini and Killian Verschuren, Unibet Rose Rockets has officially announced its second "move" for 2027 by confirming the contract extension of Niklas Larsen.
Arriving this year at the court of Bas Tietema, Josse Wester and David van der Wiel, the three-time Olympic medalist on the track from Denmark will defend the colors of the French team next season as well, where he will try to improve on what he achieved in 2026 when, returning to the professional ranks after years spent at Uno-X, he accumulated a total of seven top ten finishes.
"Our Danish dynamite stays with us! We are pleased to announce that Niklas will continue his professional journey with the Rockets jersey next year as well" revealed Unibet through its social media pages, also highlighting the results achieved by the twenty-nine-year-old from Slagelse in recent months.
Among these, the second place in the opening time trial of the last ZLM Tour stands out, the fourth place in the time trial of the Etoile de Besseges which allowed him to finish the French race in the top five overall and the tenth place in the time trial in Massa at the last Giro d'Italia, an event that, like for his team, marked his debut in major stage races.
With his confirmation, at the moment, there are 24 riders under contract for 2027 with the French representative team, which therefore still has potentially six slots to fill to complete its roster for the next season.
