Something never seen before, a true invasion to conquer Canada. And naturally a record that makes history: an extraordinary number of riders from the great Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe family has been selected by their respective national federations for the World Championships. Overall, 30 of the 51 riders – among those from the WorldTeam, the Under 23 category and the young talents from the junior squad – will head to Montreal: this is the largest contingent in the team's history at the World Championships.

Starting next Sunday, the riders from the Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe structure will compete for 15 different nations. For a week, usual teammates will become rivals representing their respective countries. The squad is divided almost equally between WorldTour professionals and young emerging talents. Notably, the entire grenke junior squad – Auto Eder has been selected for the World Championships; however, Karl Herzog will not be able to participate due to injury.

Great attention will be focused on Remco Evenepoel. The Belgian will seek to defend his rainbow jersey in the individual time trial and to become world champion in the discipline for the fourth consecutive year. Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe has never previously won a world title in the time trial in the Elite category.

At the youth level, Michiel Mouris won the time trial last year. The reigning junior world champion will compete on Monday in the Under 23 category. Lorenzo Finn is also moving up in category: the 2024 junior world champion and 2025 Under 23 world champion will compete this year for the first time in the Elite road race.

Having WorldTeam riders, Under 23 category athletes and almost our entire junior squad represented at the World Championships confirms the validity of the path we have undertaken" explains Zak Dempster, Head of Sports.

All 30 riders will compete in the road races, and several of them will also participate in the time trial events.
