In Agliana in the province of Pistoia, the usual tremendous success for the 78th Coppa Dino Diddi for juniors with a splendid winner on the straightaway of via Roma, Riccardo Pierangelini who secured his fifth seasonal victory wearing the Marche Regional Team jersey. The most important success of his career so far, achieved with an attack two kilometers from the finish line when he was leading alongside Trentino's Voltolini and Umbrian Lodovisi. Now he can also think about the Coppa D'Oro scheduled for next Sunday in Borgovalsugana. It should be noted that it was the winner who, during the descent of Carmignano at mid-race, initiated the action that proved decisive. In this, Yakov also made a valuable contribution, though he later dropped back in the final, as did Voltolini and Lodovisi who deservedly occupied second and third place. Voltolini was also complimented by Francesco Moser, his fellow regional rider and guest at this magnificent race that saw 193 juniors from 34 teams at the start, including 9 regional representatives, three foreign teams (Slovenia, Luxembourg, and Bulgaria). Also present was European cyclocross champion Ferro and as many as 6 Italian champions.
