With a message posted on social media Letizia Paternoster has announced that she will be forced to the sidelines for this final stretch of the season.
The 27-year-old rider from Trentino with Jayco Alula, who will move to Human Powered Health next year, has informed her fans of an injury she is working to resolve: "Unfortunately, I won't be at the start of my upcoming races because I have a micro-fracture to my knee that needs to heal first. In my rehabilitation process I'm making great progress. I'm very grateful for the people around me and for the support they've given me. I'm working hard to return to the final races of the season and I hope to be back on my bike soon. Life is wonderful when you have a challenge ahead of you to come back stronger than before".
Accompanying the text are several images showing her already engaged in her recovery work and eager to return to racing as soon as possible.
