Simone Gualdi will continue his sporting and professional growth within the ranks of Lotto Intermarché. The Bergamo native, who was in breakaways during the Giro d'Italia stages in Chieti and Cassano d'Adda and finished eighth in the stage ending in Chiavari, has extended his contract with the Belgian team until the end of 2028.

"Extending the contract is very important, it gives me a lot of confidence for the future. It means the team has faith in me. I still have a lot to learn and improve, I want to become a complete rider and increase my experience," said the 21-year-old who came through the Belgian team's Continental squads and moved to the "first team" this season.

Beyond Gualdi's renewal, Lotto Intermarché has officially announced the signing of Juan Sebastián Molano in recent days. The 31-year-old Colombian will conclude his long stint at UAE Team Emirates at the end of the year and from 2027 will bring his experience to the Belgian team, strengthening the sprinters' roster left without De Lie, who is heading to Tudor.

In the "shuffle" of announced departures and arrivals, Lotto Intermarché is keeping the Roglic track warm. Sporting director Van de Wouwer told colleagues at Wielerflits: "Primož would be welcome in the team, we are interested in him but we know other teams are too, we'll see what happens in the coming days. At 37 years old, I think he can still achieve personal results but his contribution would be important for the development of Jarno Widar as well."

On the same wavelength is Team Manager Jean-François Bourlart who, as reported by DH Sports, stated: "We at Lotto Intermarché are still in the running for Roglic, Monday could be decisive."
