The final uphill section on the Versilia hill of Corsanico, after a hard, selective and fiercely contested race as expected, showcased the not yet twenty-year-old Abruzzese rider, Stefano Masciarelli, who triumphed in the 36th Trofeo S.C. Corsanico, a national race for elite and under 23 riders organized by the local cycling club.

An excellent climber, this season riding for the colors of the S.C. Padovani squad, he launched his attack 1,500 meters from the finish, holding on until the end and securing his first seasonal victory in a region, Tuscany, where he has often been a protagonist, having won the Coppa del Mobilio in Ponsacco in 2025, while this year he had finished second at Torre di Fucecchio. In the places of honor were two other athletes who know how to make themselves appreciated on climbs like Bruno and Parravano. For three quarters of the race, the Prato-based Innocenti from Team Hopplà was the sole protagonist, caught at km 57 by eight pursuers: Narita, Luci, Giannelli, Cettolin, Archetti, Marcozzi, Petri and Lucca.

After his attempt was neutralized, the Englishman Harding, winner by a large margin of the race in 2024, tried alone but his generous attempt was also neutralized by a group of 27 riders 14 km from the finish. The finale was thrilling and uncertain along the climb with Team Hopplà and Technipes athletes leading and with the decisive attack by Abruzzese Masciarelli before the last kilometer, which earned him the well-deserved applause from the sports enthusiasts of Corsanico and the victory.
