Hailing from Brittany, France, Jordan Jegat is Lidl-Trek's first recruit for the 2027 season. Jegat has climbed the ranks of French cycling in recent years with TotalEnergies, improving year after year, and now moves to the WorldTour with the German team.
Jegat opened the 2026 season with his first professional victory at the Classic Grand Besançon Doubs, a strong response after a difficult winter. At the Tour de France he confirmed his form with a top-10 finish, matching his success in 2025. On both occasions, impressive climbing performances and well-timed attacks made the result possible. Jegat's proven credentials in the general classification give a major boost to Lidl-Trek's Grand Tour ambitions.
Motivated by the move to Lidl-Trek, Jegat is eager to continue improving while aiming for greater success, both for himself and the team. "I'm really excited and proud to join the team," said Jordan Jegat. "I hope to continue improving, keep learning and reach my full potential in the coming years. I'm happy to be reunited with Julien Bernard: he's a great friend and played an important role in making this transfer possible. I won my first race this year and I want to win again. I'm looking forward to discovering the Vuelta and the Giro and proving my worth at WorldTour level. I want to continue progressing and aim for even better results. Of course, the Tour de France will always remain the race I love most. I can't wait to help the team achieve the best possible results. I'm excited to see what happens next!"
"Jordan has demonstrated many qualities that impressed us: consistency over three weeks, brilliance in the mountains and intelligent racing instinct," said Andy Schleck, CEO of Lidl-Trek. "He also has a mature and positive outlook and the right mentality for our team. His two top-10 results at the Tour de France confirm his abilities, but we believe we can get even more from him at Lidl-Trek. We look forward to working with him."
