For some time now, radiogruppo has been talking about a possible contract extension between UAE Emirates XRG and Tadej Pogacar, already tied to the team until 2030. Now confirmation comes directly from the Slovenian's manager, Alex Carera, who in an interview with English journalist Daniel Benson, a great specialist in cycling transfer market, explains: «We will discuss it on Friday in Monaco, meeting with Gianetti and the team president. Tadej is satisfied, but there are still some points to discuss: it's not about money, but about a series of special clauses».

No further explanation, so all speculation is possible, starting with the race calendar to be tackled. Carera adds: «So far, we have talked about an extension until 2031 and the intention to extend the contract is definitely there. As I said, we will meet in Monaco on Friday morning, but we will take our time. Perhaps even a month, because this is not a standard contract».
