She is blonde, combative, constantly stands out on various courses and dreams of becoming like Demi Vollering. In performance rankings, Carlotta Petris is among the best Italian juniors and has always made a good impression at international competitions.

"My placements in 2026 are so numerous – exclaims the girl born in Pordenone on May 15, 2008 – that I can't even remember them". Carlotta lives in Montereale Valcellina with her mother Erica, father Carlo, and her brothers Angelo, Matteo, and Massimiliano.

"Since I was 8 years old, cycling has been part of my life – Carlotta Petris recounts, 171 centimeters tall with bright blue eyes – and I haven't separated from my bike since then". Until 2019 she raced and won with the jersey of the Fontanafredda Cycling Society. Since 2020 she has been with Libertas Ceresetto-Canturino under president Andrea Cecchini, with Christian Murro as skilled general manager. Petris has multiplied her victories on road and track with the Ceresetto club. After every race, praise pours in for junior Carlotta. Even when she competes alongside Elite riders in open events.

"When we race with the Elite – Carlotta states – I enjoy myself. The pace is higher, but strategically not much changes for me compared to when we only face each other among juniors". Having her on the team is a guarantee for occupying the top positions in the finishing order. Miss Petris's biggest regret for the current season concerns the Italian road championship in Sora, Lazio. "I went very strong in Ciociaria, but in the end I had to settle for the silver medal. Second place in the tricolor, beaten by Maria Acuti".

In July, the cycling girl from Libertas Ceresetto-Canturino participated wearing the National team jersey at the Valromey Tour Feminin, a stage race in France, under the direction of coach Marco Velo and his collaborator Marta Bastianelli. "With us, Carlotta lived a beautiful and formative experience – states Marta Bastianelli – It was an altimetrically difficult race and she helped a lot Giorgia Pellizotti, who became the team captain after the first stage. On the last day the girls faced, among other things, the Grand Colombiere, a climb from the men's Tour de France. Marco Velo and I are satisfied with Carlotta's performance, which clearly still has room for improvement".

At the Italian track championships in San Francesco al Campo, Petris won the silver medal in the points race and, paired with Camilla Murro, in the American. "I am very much in favor of multi-specialization – Marta Bastianelli continues – which especially in youth categories improves the technical skills of athletes. Obviously when you reach the Elite category, choices are made, given the increasingly crowded calendar. Carlotta belongs to Libertas Ceresetto Canturino, so she is in an important team: they will certainly manage her well".

Important developments could be ahead for Carlotta Petris. "I constantly monitor Carlotta Petris – assures Velo – , I wanted to have her in France because she was consistent throughout the first part of the season. She is a girl who stands out on challenging courses. I thank the Italian Cycling Federation for giving me the opportunity to have the girls race at the Valromey Tour Feminin on courses with important climbs. Unfortunately, we don't have challenging courses for junior girls here. I will have to compose the National teams for the World Championship in Canada and the European Championship in Slovenia. For Carlotta it won't be easy to become a starter at the World Championship, a race where I can field a maximum of 4 girls. At the European Championship in Slovenia I can field 6. Carlotta can more easily gain the starting spot for the European Championship".

On Sunday, August 23, Carlotta will compete in the Noventa di Piave race, and will then race in competitions organized by Alessandro Ballan in the Treviso area. The competitions in Racconigi and the Mediterraneo in Rosa are also on Carlotta's schedule. "In 2026 – reiterates the blonde girl about to attend the 5th year of sports science high school – I've gone strong, but the cherry on top is missing, namely the victory. I hope to add the cherry to the cake soon".

Next year she will become an Under 23 (still racing with the Elite). "I will face the category change with enthusiasm".
