Tadej Pogacar has won the 2026 Tour de France, equaling the historic record of five victories achieved by Anquetil, Merckx, Hinault and Indurain. The Slovenian superstar is also the only one to have achieved the final triumph twice as the reigning world champion (2025 and 2026) and to have stood on the podium in seven consecutive editions of the Grande Boucle, including the second-place finishes in 2022 and 2023.

For the dominator of modern cycling, stage victories at the Tour have reached 26 (fourth all-time), days in the yellow jersey 71 (third of all time), while considering the 9 Grand Tours he has competed in, he has always finished on the final podium: six victories, two second places and one third place. Pogacar's seasonal victories in World Tour races rise to 19, the stage races won in his career become 22.

Remco Evenepoel (second) improved on the third place he secured in 2024 and gave Belgium its best final classification finish since Lucien Van Impe's second place in 1981, while Isaac Del Toro (third) allowed Mexico to become the 26th nation to reach the podium in Tour history. 

Eleven riders won stages, representing 8 nations. Among these, Italy is notably absent, achieving only 3 top-ten finishes across 20 individual stages. For France, the third edition without stage victories has come to a close, as had only happened previously in 1926 and 1999.
