At the Tour de France, the world's best riders are facing the canicule, the intense heat that has been characterizing our days for weeks now. Even though, unlike Tadej Pogacar, we're not fighting for the yellow jersey, if we practice sports we must take into account the high temperatures of this period and properly replenish what we consume during exercise.
With sweat we lose a certain amount of minerals: mainly sodium, chloride, potassium and magnesium. And the greater the fatigue, ambient temperature, humidity and solar radiation, the more abundant the sweating will be, and with it, the loss of mineral salts.
