The countdown has begun. The new line of high-performance Ducati bicycles will be officially presented on September 3, 2026, on the occasion of the International Bike Festival. Designed by Ducati in synergy with the Zecchetto Group, a company with over thirty years of experience in the cycling world and consolidated expertise in carbon and composite materials, the new range will be positioned in the high-performance segment and will include three proposals dedicated respectively to road, gravel, and the E-MTB world.
Three platforms developed with distinct design objectives, but united by research on materials, the integration of technical solutions and targeted work on precision, control and ride quality in their respective areas of use.
The first public preview of the project took place during the World Ducati Week, in the evocative setting of the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Inside the Ducati Cycling booth, visitors were able to observe up close, in absolute preview, the new bicycles, which will be unveiled in every detail in September. A debut that occurred during a particularly symbolic weekend for the world of two wheels: while the Tour de France was starting in Barcelona, in Misano the Ducati community was meeting the new Ducati Cycling project for the first time.
Alongside research on materials and design work, the development of the range has benefited from feedback from five exceptional testers, champions capable of interpreting different disciplines and experiences in the world of two wheels.
Contributing to the project were Vincenzo Nibali, one of the few riders in history to have won the Giro d'Italia, Tour de France and Vuelta a España, as well as two Monumental Classics such as Milano-Sanremo and Giro di Lombardia; and Elia Viviani, one of the most winning and versatile Italian sprinters of his generation, boasting over 90 professional road victories and an extraordinary track career, crowned by the Olympic title in Rio 2016 and world gold in the elimination race in Santiago 2025. With his experience and technical vision, Viviani follows all development phases as a Project consultant. Also contributing were Alessandro Petacchi, among the most winning sprinters of his generation, with over 180 career victories; Gianni Bugno, two-time world champion and winner of the 1990 Giro d'Italia; and Lorenzo Suding, multiple Italian Downhill Champion and a reference point for Italian mountain biking.
The five testers were involved in the various phases of development and dynamic validation, providing guidance on geometries, bike behavior, ride precision and bicycle response in different conditions of use.
Also present at the event was Philippe Zecchetto, CEO of Diamant S.r.l., a company of the Zecchetto Group, Ducati's partner in the development, production and distribution of the new range. During the World Ducati Week, the five champions and ambassadors met Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati Motor Holding, and welcomed visitors, becoming protagonists of the first meeting between the Ducati community and the new cycling project. The exclusive preview generated strong interest from the international public present in Misano.
One of the most evocative moments of the weekend featured Vincenzo Nibali, who completed about ten laps of the circuit on a Ducati Panigale V4 S.
"I felt a strong adrenaline rush because it was my first experience on a circuit with a motorcycle," the Sicilian champion recounted at the end of the test. "In the first laps I was a bit tense, but then I gained confidence and really enjoyed myself. There are many points of contact with riding a bicycle, such as the way you approach curves, shift your weight and draw trajectories".
An experience that highlighted the natural dialogue between two different worlds, but united by the pursuit of performance, control of the vehicle and the ability to transform technology and ride precision into emotion.
The same values are at the foundation of Ducati Cycling, born as a complete cycling and industrial project: a development that starts from the frame and integrates specific expertise in composite materials, on-road and off-road testing activities and the direct contribution of athletes from different disciplines.
The new line of Ducati bicycles will be officially unveiled on September 3, 2026 at the International Bike Festival, when the design, technical characteristics and all details of the Ducati Cycling project will be presented.
