As is tradition, bookmakers are rolling out the odds for betting on the favorites in the various classifications of the 2026 Tour de France, set to kick off from Barcelona with a team time trial. Just as with the Giro d'Italia, we have collected average valuations from the most popular and widely used online betting portals. Here are the most favored names and possible surprises for the yellow, polka dot, green and white jerseys.
On the eve of the 2026 Tour de France, the clear favorite for the yellow jersey is naturally Tadej Pogačar, offered at an average odds of 1.2. The Slovenian starts decisively ahead of everyone else on betting portals as well, making it therefore an unappealing bet. Behind him is the Danish Jonas Vingegaard, his historic main rival, with odds around 4.50-4.75. Young Frenchman Paul Seixas represents the bookmakers' third choice, standing at around 9.00 odds. Following are Mexican Isaac Del Toro, quoted at approximately 15.00, Belgian Remco Evenepoel at 15.00-17.00, and the 2025 third-place finisher, German Florian Lipowitz, offered at an average of 19.00-21.00.
In the race for the polka dot jersey, the most credited name is also that of Tadej Pogačar, offered at around 2.25, due to his likely numerous first passages over the summit of the most lucrative mountain categorized climbs and at the same mountain-top finishes. Behind him is Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz, quoted at approximately 5.50, and Frenchman Lenny Martinez, also close to 6.00 odds, both of whom have explicitly expressed their desire to compete for the best climber's jersey. Jonas Vingegaard is further back, offered at around 15.00.
For the green jersey dedicated to the points classification, the favorite is Belgian Jasper Philipsen, whose odds hover around 2.75, confirming his excellent form. Just behind is his compatriot Tim Merlier, quoted at approximately 3.50, while Mads Pedersen and Olav Kooij share a valuation of 7.00.
The classification dedicated to young riders, which awards the white jersey, is shaping up to be particularly balanced. Bookmakers indicate Paul Seixas as the main favorite at approximately 2.50, ahead of Isaac Del Toro at 3.00, another highly followed name for his potential in the general classification. Juan Ayuso occupies the third position in the operators' preferences at 4.50, while Cian Uijtdebroeks and Kévin Vauquelin complete the group of the five most credited candidates at 10.00 and 15.00 respectively. The odds are much tighter compared to the yellow jersey, a sign that analysts predict an open battle among some of the world's best cycling talents.
