Still standing at one victory in this 2026 (the one obtained by Casper van Uden at the Tour of Turkey), Picnic PostNL approaches the Tour de France with the idea of turning around their season by hunting for a significant success and noteworthy results capable of improving the team's meager balance sheet up to this point.
For this reason, the Dutch outfit will clearly aim for stage results throughout all three weeks of racing, focusing in particular on sprint finishes and hilly stages where they will have the opportunity to shine, depending on circumstances, with the four young riders coming from the development team selected for the occasion (Frank van der Broek, Pavel Bittner, Robbe Dhondt and Niklas Märkl) in addition to Warren Barguil (already seen at the Giro d'Italia), Julius van der Berg, John Degenkolb and Frits Biesterbos.
"We arrive at the Tour with a group strongly motivated to showcase our colors in the decisive phases. As a team we have had a somewhat bumpy road, with Bittner's injury keeping him away from racing for a while. However, he has now recovered and is ready to battle in sprint finishes just like last year" explained Matt Winston.
"Within our train we will have plenty of experience thanks to the presence of John, Niklas and Julius, while it will be exciting to see Frits make his debut in a race like the Tour after the fantastic first professional season he has had so far. In the team we will also have another Grand Boucle debutant, Robbe, who is a product of our development program and is another promising talent we are very proud of: he will be able to gain valuable experience and learn alongside his teammates while the team will be engaged, in the more rolling stages, in pursuing partial results with riders of the caliber of Frank and Warren. We can't wait to start from Barcelona and see how we move each day to show the best of ourselves over the three weeks of racing" stated the British directeur sportif, ready to lead in the car a formation decidedly hungry for success.

AN EVEN STRONGER PARTNERSHIP

The partnership reflects the strong synergy between the two organizations that both share an ambitious mentality as well as attention to revolutionary innovations in their respective sectors. The expanded synergy with Raisin – focused on achieving greater results during the major three-week stage races – underscores the team's ambitions to build a future with a dedicated group of partners.
