It will be the time trial that will deliver the final judgment on the Giro Next Gen 2026: the last stage, in fact, is the Villa San'Angelo-L'Aquila of 22.2 km.

The individual time trial features an undulating profile, developed in the L'Aquila territory. The route alternates fast sections with more demanding sections characterized by continuous changes in pace. The final part in a slight ascent towards the center of L'Aquila, where the race concludes. At 1500 m the road begins to climb: the last km has a gradient around 7% with a peak of 11% a few hundred meters before entering the final straightaway which measures 400 m.
In the general classification, Lorenzo Mark Finn takes the start with an advantage of 1'16" over Colombian Ramirez Torres, 1'18" over Brazilian Bravo, 2'23" over Frenchman Arsac and 2'30" over fellow Frenchman Sparfel, yesterday's winner at Piana delle Mele.
