If we were among the professionals, we would have no doubt in labeling the fourth stage of the Giro Next Gen as suited for sprinters. But the history of this edition of the pink race teaches us that nothing is certain in the peloton and therefore the Matera - Corato (Molino Casillo) with its 154 km and 1,100 meters of elevation gain can deliver surprises.

It is an eventful stage in the first part with the crossing of the Murgia plateau. After Gravina in Puglia, the route heads towards Corato where a circuit is planned including the double passage through Castel del Monte. Fast finish after the final descent with the last kilometers on flat roads, mostly straight stretches interrupted by some sharp curves.
