After celebrating Elisa Balsamo's four-stage haul at Brescello, the Giro d'Italia Women presents today's seventh stage, the Sorbolo Mezzani – Salice Terme covering 159 km with 1,000 metres of elevation gain.

It's another stage that's difficult to read and could present a decidedly eventful finale. The stage is completely flat for the first 110 km, then the road will begin to climb up to the Pietragavina categorized climb. It's a rideable third-category climb, but it could become the springboard for any attacker looking to shake things up.

The final 27 km are all downhill to the finish line and perhaps the overall contenders will want to take advantage of it to conserve energy ahead of tomorrow's complicated stage.
