After two difficult days in the mountains, which have completely reshaped the general classification, the Giro d'Italia returns today with a stage dedicated to the sprinters. On the agenda is the sixth stage, Ala – Brescello covering 159 km with just 350 metres of elevation gain.

After so much climbing, then, here comes another golden opportunity for the sprinters and it could even be the last one. The Ala - Brescello is one of the longest stages of the Giro, almost completely flat, a sprint finish is practically guaranteed. The pink jersey wearer will certainly not change, but the spectacle of the fast wheels promises to be thrilling with Elisa Balsamo - after her opening hat-trick she is the logical favourite - aiming for four wins in a row while her rivals will try to stop her.
