They've had second thoughts, decided to make a complete U-turn, let's call it a full reversal. The teams that will be called upon to compete in the next Giro NextGen will no longer have to pay anything: no registration fees, no levies, nothing at all. Teams should receive – or may have already received – new entry invoices. No payment of €10,260 into the organizers' coffers. Following our investigation and a political stance taken by the Italian Cycling Federation (there have been several interventions), the UCI apparently immediately wrote to the organizers inviting them to reconsider, also based on regulations that would prohibit such moves. And what about the Tour de l'Avenir? Either they'll backtrack or they'll receive the same letter for the same reasons. And if our cousins don't receive anything? Well, then we'll report back to you on that.
