As every year, the odds of the Giro d'Italia 2026 favorites arrive right on schedule, now just around the corner. Various Italian and international bookmakers have assessed the winning chances of the riders who will present themselves in Bulgaria in just a few days for the first stage of the Corsa Rosa, not only for the final classification, but also for the other jerseys (excluding one, at least for now). Which athletes are the most favored and which are the possible outsiders?
We can only start with the favorites for the pink jersey. As with the other sections, we have surveyed the odds published in recent hours by numerous specialized portals and have indicated the minimum - maximum values found. And it comes as no surprise to discover how Jonas Vingegaard (Team Visma | Lease a Bike) pays very little on any potential bet, given that even for bookmakers he starts several steps above the other competitors. The second name is that of the great Italian hope, Giulio Pellizzari (Red Bull | Bora | Hansgroe), who is quoted at an average of 6.00, in turn clearly distancing the riders who follow him. In fact, the Austrian Felix Gall (Decathlon CMA CGM) is given at 17.00, just ahead of the Colombian and former winner Egan Bernal (Netcompany Ineos) and the British Adam Yates (UAE Team Emirates | XRG).
- Jonas Vingegaard 1.16 - 1.25
- Giulio Pellizzari 6.00
- Felix Gall 17.00 - 20.00
- Egan Bernal 23.00 - 25.00
- Adam Yates 19.00 - 33.00
- Jai Hindley 25.00 - 33.00
- Thymen Arensman 25.00 - 33.00
- Michael Storer 34.00 - 50.00
- Jay Vine 41.00 - 50.00
- Derek Gee 41.00 - 50.00
The absolute favorite for the mountain prize classification is our Giulio Ciccone (Lidl | Trek), with an average quote of 3.50, ahead of the Australian Jay Vine (UAE Team Emirates | XRG) at 4.00 to 6.00 and Vingegaard himself given at 3.50 to 6.00. The Dane could, however, combine the pink jersey and the blue jersey in the event (likely) that he aimed to collect as many stages as possible with finishes or passages at high altitude.
- Giulio Ciccone 3.50
- Jay Vine 4.00 - 6.00
- Jonas Vingegaard 3.50 - 6.00
- Christian Scaroni 9.00 - 15.00
- Marc Soler 16.00 - 23.00
- Jan Christen 20.00
- Alessandro Pinarello 41.00
- Filippo Zana 25.00
- Giulio Pellizzari 25.00
The cyclamen jersey of the points classification sees the Italian Jonathan Milan (Lidl - Trek) as the bookmakers' number one favorite with odds of 1.66, well ahead of one of the sprinters in best form this year, the Dane Tobias Lund Andresen (Decathlon CMA CGM) at 4.50 and the Frenchman Paul Magnier (Soudal Quick-Step) at 5.50. More distant is the consistent Kaden Groves (Alpecin - PremierTech) at 12.00.
- Jonathan Milan 1.66
- Tobias Lund Andresen 4.50
- Paul Magnier 5.50
- Kaden Groves 12.00
- Ben Turner 19.00
- Dylan Groenewegen 21.00
- Ethan Vernon 34.00
- Orluis Aular 34.00
At the time of writing this article, it is curious to note that there are no available odds for the white jersey of the best young rider. One possible hypothesis is that the potential rivals of Giulio Pellizzari are considered unappealing to betting portals and some time has been taken for now. If so, we will update the article with all the relevant assessments.
