The organizers of the Giro d'Italia have announced the list of entries for the 109th edition of the pink race. We have already published the selections for almost all teams, and now we have a complete picture (which can still be modified at the last minute) that allows us to count the Italian riders who will take part in the race. In total there are 42 out of 184, which is 22.8% of the total.

In Alpecin Premier Tech there are Francesco Busatto and Luca Vergallito, in Bahrain Victorious Damiano Caruso and Edoardo Zambanini.
Six Italians in Bardiani CSF 7 Saber with Filippo Magli, Martin Marcellusi, Luca Paletti, Manuele Tarozzi, Filippo Turconi and Enrico Zanoncello, Vincenzo Albanese and Samuele Battistella in EF Education Easypost, in Lidl Trek Giulio Ciccone, Simone Consonni, Jonathan Milan and Matteo Sobrero, in Lotto Intermarché Simone Gualdi and Lorenzo Rota, Lorenzo Milesi in Movistar Team, Filippo Ganna in Netcompany Ineos, Alessandro Pinarello in NSN Cycling Team, Matteo Moschetti in Pinarello Q36.5.

Giovanni Aleotti, Gianni Moscon and Giulio Pellizzari are the Italian riders for Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe, Luca Mozzato represents Tudor Pro Cycling Team, Gianmarco Garofoli, Andrea Raccagni Noviero and Filippo Zana represent Soudal Quick Step, Andrea Vendrame represents Team Jayco AlUla.

Six Italian riders in Polti VisitMalta, namely Mattia Bais, Ludovico Crescioli, Giovanni Lonardi, Mirco Maestri, Thomas Pesenti and Alessandro Tonelli, five from XdS Astana, namely Davide Ballerini, Alberto Bettiol, Matteo Malucelli, Christian Scaroni and Diego Ulissi and finally Davide Piganzoli in Visma Lease a Bike.
