He announced it to his grandparents in a video published by his team, Decathlon CMA CGM: this is how Paul Seixas revealed what the cycling world wanted to know, namely that he will participate in the 2026 Tour de France.
He and his team had not announced anything before an impeccable start to the season, but the choice became obvious. Winner of the Faun-Ardèche Classic, the Tour of the Basque Country (with three stages) and the Flèche Wallonne, and second at Strade Bianche and Liège-Bastogne-Liège, each time behind Tadej Pogacar, Seixas is already too strong to miss the great spectacle of July.
The schedule of the nineteen-year-old Frenchman is outlined until the end of the season: he will race the Tour Auvergne Rhone Alpes, the Tour de France, then in Canada the GP de Quebec, the GP de Montreal and the World Championship and finally we will see him again at the Lombardia.
