The cycling team INEOS Grenadiers and Netcompany, one of Europe's most ambitious technology companies, announced today a new five-year partnership that will see them as co-title sponsors.
This collaboration represents one of the most significant technology and commercial partnerships in professional cycling and will see the team change its name to Netcompany INEOS Cycling Team and compete in a new kit and new colors starting from the 2026 Giro d'Italia.
At the heart of the partnership is PULSE, Netcompany's European digital platform based on artificial intelligence, already used in real-world contexts such as Munich and Heathrow airports. This partnership will mark the first major implementation of PULSE in elite sport and will focus on the joint development of a model designed to shape the future of performance optimization.
Sir Dave Brailsford, Team Principal and Sporting Director of INEOS: “This is one of the most significant partnerships in cycling: a true demonstration of confidence not only in our team, but in the sport itself. It is a crucial moment for us and marks the beginning of a new chapter. Our sport is a human activity, where decisions in training, racing and recovery make the difference every day. We don't lack data, the real challenge is transforming it into simple and practical actions and implementing them consistently. With Netcompany, we can do this better. PULSE allows us to orchestrate our data into clear information that supports faster and more effective decisions when it matters most. This is more than sponsorship, it is a partnership with a clear purpose. It guarantees us long-term stability, providing us with the platform to invest in performance over time, building the foundations to win and continue to win. Ultimately, it is about creating the conditions to win the Tour de France.”
In the context of Netcompany's rapid growth in the United Kingdom, Europe's largest IT market, and recent strategic framework agreements with HMRC, TSS and Heathrow Airport, the partnership with the UK's leading cycling team represents a natural extension of the company's long-term European technology growth strategy and the team's ambition to conquer an eighth Tour de France, an unprecedented achievement.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe, President of INEOS, commented: "I am delighted to welcome Netcompany to the cycling team, establishing a new long-term partnership that will help create the ideal conditions for greater success. This collaboration brings additional resources, technologies and expertise in performance and operational areas, enabling the team to consistently compete at the highest levels of this sport."
André Rogaczewski, CEO and co-founder of Netcompany, stated: “As a leading European company in the field of artificial intelligence technologies, committed to fighting for European digital sovereignty, joining forces with the most successful cycling team of the modern era and with the only British team in the WorldTour represents a unique opportunity. This partnership supports our strategic ambition to accelerate growth across Europe, demonstrating the impact of cutting-edge technologies and artificial intelligence at the highest levels of sport. Together, we aim to enable smarter decision-making, strengthen competitive advantage and help the team win the Tour de France again”.
PULSE will be integrated into the team, individual riders and races, enabling real-time collaborative decision-making, aggregating multiple inputs into a single data source to maximize performance impact. As part of the five-year strategic partnership, INEOS has secured PULSE licenses for the entire duration.
Geraint Thomas, Racing Director, added: “I have seen firsthand how much this sport has evolved. What hasn't changed, however, is the importance of getting the basics right and paying attention to the smallest details. It is this that ultimately leads to success on the road. Netcompany's PULSE AI platform will help us in this regard, in every department of the team. It gives us confidence in the systems and the quality of the data and information we work with in real time, so that everyone is aligned and working in the same direction. From my perspective, it is about creating an environment where riders can focus completely on racing, while the team surrounding them is connected and makes the best possible decisions. If we can find the right balance, it will really make a difference when it counts.”
