The third stage of the Tour of the Alps 2026 starts from the valley floor of the lower Val Venosta, 175.1 kilometers from Laces, in South Tyrol, to Arco, in Trentino. After 26 kilometers of flat terrain, at Lana the altimetric profile changes dramatically with the long first-category climb towards Passo Castrin (22.2 km at 5.7%), the highest point of this edition, at an elevation of 1,586 meters, and the natural border between South Tyrol and Trentino.

After crossing Castrin, the route descends towards the Val di Non, which must be crossed until reaching the foot of the Andalo climb, a second-category GPM (14.4 km at 5.4%). Both the climb and the subsequent descent run smoothly until the intermediate sprint at Ponte Arche. From here the road resumes climbing towards the Passo del Ballino, then descends to Lake Tenno, where the athletes will enter a circuit: first the descent from the Pranzo side, then the climb back towards the lake with the passage through the finish line with bonuses at Ville del Monte.
Once the loop is completed, approximately 15 kilometers from the finish, the peloton heads towards Lake Garda Trentino, passing through the center of Riva del Garda before experiencing the final kilometers towards the finish line in Arco.
