FANTINI IS THE "OFFICIAL WINE" OF TIRRENO-ADRIATICO 2026

NEWS | 07/03/2026 | 08:15

Vini Fantini, a wine group based in Abruzzo, has signed an agreement with RCS Sport, the organizer of one of the most important stage races on the international cycling calendar. Fantini wines will also be served in the hospitality areas. A great opportunity for visibility for a group that has long supported the world of cycling and that this year has also become title sponsor of the women's team BePink-Vini Fantini.

It will be Fantini wines that celebrate the cyclists who win each stage – and of course also the final champion, the "blue jersey" – of the Tirreno-Adriatico, which this year reaches its 61st edition. The race, one of the most important on the international cycling calendar and known as the "race of two seas," will take place from Monday, March 9 to Sunday, March 15, starting from Lido di Camaiore and finishing in San Benedetto del Tronto.

Fantini – the wine group founded in 1994 that, starting from Ortona (Chieti), has become over time one of the main wine exporters of Southern Italy thanks to a strategy strongly oriented towards quality and international marketing – has supported the world of cycling for years. Today it formalizes a new agreement with RCS Sport, the organizer of Tirreno-Adriatico, of which it will be the Official Wine.

This is also an important opportunity to enhance the Abruzzese territory, which the race will cross in the fourth stage, from Tagliacozzo to Martinsicuro, helping to tell the story of a region that, thanks to Fantini, has gained increasing recognition in the international wine landscape.

"We are delighted with this new partnership – explains Giulia Sciotti, marketing manager of Fantini Wines and daughter of founder Valentino, a great cycling enthusiast –. In this way we consolidate our long journey of supporting the world of sport and cycling in particular, which has already given us great satisfaction and has allowed us to tell the world about the great wines of Abruzzo and Southern Italy".

All stage winners and the final champion will raise a magnum bottle of Fantini Gran Cuvée Bianco on the podium, the "flagship" sparkling wine of the house. A toast that will first celebrate the victory with the traditional champagne ritual and then allow tasting one of the symbolic products of the Abruzzese winery.

Fantini Gran Cuvée Bianco is born from a blend of white grape varieties hand-harvested in the oldest vineyards of central Abruzzo, vinified according to the Charmat method. The result is a sparkling wine with a complex bouquet, with hints of green citrus and floral aromas, elegant and persistent perlage and a fresh, mineral and balanced taste.

But Fantini's presence at Tirreno-Adriatico will not be limited to the podium.

"During the race, Fantini will also be a protagonist in many other moments – explains Rocco Menna, purchasing manager of the group and coordinator of initiatives related to the world of cycling – Some of our most representative labels will be served in the hospitality area of the competition: Fantini Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC as a white wine, as well as of course Fantini Gran Cuvée Bianco. The Fantini brand will also be visible on the event website, on totems in the welcome areas and on all social channels".

The 2026 Tirreno-Adriatico will cover a total of 1,118 kilometers in a week of racing, with seven stages that encompass the best of a grand tour: time trial, sprints, climbs, technical descents and major mountain stages. Two seas to connect, with mountains in between: this is the DNA of the race that will see 175 athletes at the start divided into 25 teams and which has always represented a springboard for those aiming at the Giro d'Italia.

It is also a first-rate media platform: over 33 million television viewers worldwide (almost 12 million in Italy alone), 3,633 hours of television coverage, 649 thousand visits to the official website with over 5.2 million pages viewed, 19.5 million video views and 34.7 million impressions on social media, with a community of over 239 thousand people.

Fantini, as mentioned, has supported the world of cycling for years. Among the 2026 news is also entry into women's cycling thanks to the agreement with BePink, a Lombard team preparing to face its fifteenth competitive season with renewed ambitions and a new name: BePink-Vini Fantini, with the wine group in the role of title sponsor.

As for men's cycling, Fantini supports the NSN Cycling Team, a renewed professional team with Swiss license and operational base in Spain, affiliated with the UCI WorldTeam circuit and which also sees among its owners a legend of world football: former Barcelona champion Andrés Iniesta.
