Winning breakaway on the roads of France: Axel Laurance won the third and final stage of the Tour de la Provence, the 205.1 km Rognac - Arles route. The French rider from Ineos Grenadiers managed a long day and in the finale broke away from his companions, securing his sixth victory in the top category. Behind him in order Jarnet (Van Rysel Roubaix) and Manzin (TotalEnergies). American Matthew Riccitello from Decathlon CMA CMNG took the overall victory in the short race that crossed southern France.
THE RACE. The day's breakaway was formed by Oomen (Lidl Trek), Loulergue (Groupama FDJ United), Laurance (Ineos Grenadiers), Carr (Cofidis), Manzin (TotalEnergies), Peter (Unibet Rose Rockets), Jarnet and Arnes (Van Rysel Roubaix) and Davy (Nice Metropole Cote d'Azur).
In the finale, with the group chasing, Laurance and Arnes made a move that for the French Ineos rider had the sweet taste of victory.
