The training camp in Benidorm allowed the team to train in the right climate to approach the start of a particularly long season, with an early debut in mid-February.

In fact, the 2026 season of Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone officially begins this weekend, competing on Saturday, February 14th at the Coppa San Geo, in the province of Brescia, and on Sunday, February 15th at the Trofeo Mugello.

Bolstered by the national title won at the end of 2025 in the U23 team time trial, there is optimism in the team staff created by Davide Cassani in 2019 and promoted by APT Servizi Emilia Romagna, chaired by Gianni Carapia and managed in the team car by Francesco Chicchi, Michele Coppolillo, Mauro Calzoni and Andrea Gallo, with Gian Luca Giardini as project manager. A project that continues to grow gradually, step by step, also thanks to the support of sponsors, starting with Technipes, a company owned by the Barosi family that produces machines and systems for weighing, bagging and packaging, chaired by Raffaele Barosi, which has allowed the team to make a quality leap to Continental level.

February is already an intense month, which will continue on Saturday 21st with the Firenze-Empoli and on Sunday 22nd with GP La Torre and GP Misano, before tackling the first stage race of the season, the Giro della Sardegna with professionals from February 25th to March 1st.

The 2026 roster, composed of 13 athletes, features on paper a nice mix of young riders developed within the project and new additions, both emerging prospects and experienced riders in the category. The goal is to continue the technical and human growth of the group.
