Federica Venturelli continues to deliver outstanding results: the young rider from Cremona has reached the individual pursuit final and this evening will challenge experienced British rider Josie Knight for the European title. Venturelli pedaled the 4 km in a time of 4.22.909 at an average speed of 54.772 km/h, while Knight finished in 4.19.461.
The bronze medal will be contested between the other British rider Millie Couzens (4.24.415) and the Dutch rider Mischa Bredewold (4.25.924).
The very young Linda Sanarini, making her elite European debut, recorded the eighth-fastest time of 4.33.141.
