Pauline Ferrand-Prevot was the queen of 2025, but that's not enough for the French champion who has decided to grow even more this season: "I want to win every race I participate in" she said confidently, at 33 years old, not tired of breaking barriers and improving season after season.
In her career, the champion from Reims won the Olympic gold in mountain bike at Paris 2024 and then last year, when she returned to road racing after a seven-year break, dominated Paris-Roubaix and Tour de France. Pauline wants to write new pages in her book of successes with the yellow jersey of Visma-Lease a Bike.
Her program is very clear and focused: Strade Bianche, Tour of Flanders, Flèche Wallonne, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, Vuelta and Tour. Ferrand-Prevot doesn't hide her ambition: "Winning everything, yes, it's a challenge, but I'm happy to accept it".
Consider that in her career, the phenomenal French athlete has won an Olympic gold in MTB and 12 World Championships: 1 on the road, 7 in MTB, 1 in cross, 2 in Marathon and 1 in gravel. The Tour will again be her main objective: "Last season I started as an outsider, but now it will be different. I must prepare to be among the favorites in the most important races, but I can't wait: I like pressure and handle it well. These high expectations give me extra motivation to improve".
Particularly in time trials: because the 2025 Tour had none, but this time the women's Boucle, which will start from Lausanne in Switzerland and end in Nice, will offer a 21 km time trial in Dijon on the fourth day, before climbing the terrible Mont Ventoux on the penultimate day.
"The time trial will also be a challenge. In the past, time trials suited me quite well, but it's a discipline where I can definitely improve. I will dedicate a lot of time to the time trial bike ahead of the Tour".
